In the last years, the extract of Soursop has been widely acclaimed to have powerful properties to fight cancer. From March, 2003, it has bben dipusted that the soursop tea cures cancer.
The Soursop contains acetogenines. A study conduted by Purdue University in Indiana, demonstrated that the acetogenines can selectively inhibit the growth of cancerigenic cells and also inhibit the growth of the tumor cells, resistant to adriamycin (quimiotherapeutic drug).
Other studies conducted by scientists of the same university, demonstrated that the acetogenines of Soursop (graviola) are extremely powerful having a ED50 (lethal dose – 50) of up to 10 – 9 micrograms per milliliter, resulting in having 10.000 times the power of adriamycin.
